Levy Information


The money needed to properly fund education is determined by the state legislature.  Like most Minnesota school districts, our only option to increase funding is to ask voters to consider a school funding increase.  Learn more about our two ballot questions this November at



Spirit Week

Next week is Spirit Week at Woodbury Middle School. To celebrate, we have 5 days of dressing up for our students. Please encourage them to dress up in the following themes on the following days:

-Monday, October 11 - Pajama Day

-Tuesday, October 12 - Jersey Day

-Wednesday, October 13 - Groutfit (Gray Outfit)

-Thursday, October 14 - College Wear

-Friday, October 15 – Wacky Wildcat Day - Blue, Black & White



Community Ed classes for Middle School students over MEA

Here are some classes with links to more information and registration happening over MEA. Please share with your families in your newsletters.

Intensive Sewing Camp, Thursday, Oct 21, 9 am – 1 pm, Nena’s Design Studio, Oakdale

Cupcake Camp Thursday, Oct 21, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, East Ridge

Improv Intensive Thursday- Saturday, Oct 21-23, 8am – 4 pm, Cottage Grove Middle

Drawing as Easy as I, 2, 3, Thursday and Friday, Oct 21 & 22, 1-4 pm Kidcreate Studio, Woodbury



Woodbury Middle School Conferences are Oct. 18th and 19th from 3:30-7:30.  

Monday October 18th conferences will be in person.  You will have 5 minutes face to face time with the teacher. 

Tuesday October 19th conferences will be only virtual from 3:30-7:30 and you will be receiving an email how to sign up for those.  There are limited spots so first come first serve.  More information will be coming.

WMS SHOW CHOIR - starts next Tuesday, October 12th!


If you Love to SING & DANCE, be sure to sign-up for our FABULOUS WMS SHOW-CHOIR! This Fall, we will meet almost

every Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:40pm in the Choir Room (Room C130)!  We will Learn & Sing two terrific songs and work with a

Professional Choreographerwho will help us look fantastic Dancing too!  Come & Be a part of this Super Fun After-School

Activity!  Hope to see you next Tuesday! 


PTO Chocolate Sale - Update

Students received this permission form today with information about our chocolate fundraiser that begins next week!

Students should return the permission slips to the front table in the lobby tomorrow if they want to participate in the fundraiser. Alternatively, here is an online permission form that you can complete on your student’s behalf. (If they forget their slip on Friday, they can certainly bring it on Monday.)

We will be delivering boxes of chocolate to students next week. The fundraiser goes through October 29.



Attention 6th graders!!


We are currently accepting applications for outstanding leaders to be WILDCAT CREW members for the 2021-2022 school year!   



-Help students that are new to WMS

-Are leaders of the Wildcat Way (Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Participate & Persevere)

-Are proactive in creating a positive, energetic, and respectful atmosphere in our school

-Help with school wide events

-Attend regular Wildcat Crew meetings (during school day)

-Maintain grades, attendance & behavior at a reasonable level

PTO Update


Staff Appreciation Dinner for Conferences

Lettuce Taco 'Bout How Awesome the Staff at Woodbury Middle School is!

On Monday, October 18, the WMS PTO will be providing a taco bar from Acapulco for the first night of conferences. Our staff is spec-taco-lar!!! If you would like to donate any funds towards this event, please email the PTO:  Thank you for helping us show our appreciation to the staff and all they do to support the students at WMS.
