About Us

WMS offers a comprehensive curriculum and a community that fosters a culture of excellence in academics, character and global citizenship.

Each grade is divided into “houses,” in which a core group of students is aligned with a core group of teachers. WMS is an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) National Demonstration School. The AVID program helps students develop organizational skills and study habits so they can be successful students. WMS also continues the district’s K-12 Spanish Immersion Pathway.

Technology is an important part of learning at WMS, so each student has access to their own tablet and personalized online learning software. Along with academics, there are many extracurricular and leadership opportunities at Woodbury Middle including athletics, music, theater, robotics and service-learning clubs. All students are encouraged to explore their interests and become involved in their school.
